Letter: Battle Ground voters deserved full disclosure

So now it is revealed that the Battle Ground Public Schools that I support with my levy dollars will pre-pay the district’s highest-paid employee, Superintendent Shonny Bria, for two years of work, during which time she will not only not work, but also not be a district employee.

A “retirement” payout of $401,715 is certainly a significant chunk worthy of full communication to the voters. What are we paying Bria for?

Why were we allowed to vote on a school levy without knowing that six days later the school district officials would finalize the $300,000 cash payout to Bria from its general budget, to be used to enrich one person who no longer even works for the district?
