Medical examiners identified the man who died while skydiving with a group of people Friday near Snohomish as Glen Leland Hobbs Jr., 27, of Kirkland.

Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Hobbs deployed his parachute but for some reason came in too fast and hit the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hobbs suffered an intracranial hemorrhage, along with pelvic and extremity fractures due to blunt force impact, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Glen Hobbs Jr. was originally reported as being a Vancouver resident. His father, Glen Hobbs Sr., lives in Vancouver with other members of the Hobbs family.
