EUGENE, Ore. — FBI agents arrested a 45-year-old Albany woman Wednesday accused of phoning bomb threats to two elementary schools.

The U.S. attorney’s office says if Janelle Pinkston is convicted she could face up to 10 years in prison.

The Albany police and fire departments say they expended significant resources in April and May determining there were no bombs after three threatening calls were made to Waverly and Periwinkle elementary schools.

Police traced the calls to a phone owned by Pinkston. She appeared Wednesday before a federal magistrate who ordered her held for further court proceedings.
