BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Bowling Green has hired Chris Kingston as its new athletic director.

Kingston will be introduced at a Monday news conference on campus.

Kingston has been the executive senior associate director of athletics at North Carolina State since August 2010. He has been directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the football and men’s basketball programs, along with overseeing external initiatives, athletic branding and multimedia rights.

Commissioned as an Army second lieutenant upon graduation from Central Florida in 1994, Kingston also spent four years as associate AD at Army. He replaces Greg Christopher, who left for Xavier in March.
