LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Successful Dan is the 2-1 morning favorite after drawing the outside post position Wednesday for Saturday night’s $500,000 Stephen Foster Handicap at Churchill Downs.

The six-horse field for the 1 1/8-mile Grade I stakes race for 3-year-olds and up includes reigning Breeders’ Cup Classic champion Fort Larned, a 3-1 choice from the No. 2 spot with Brian Hernandez Jr. aboard.

Julien Leparoux meanwhile will ride Successful Dan, the older brother of 2012 Horse of the Year Wise Dan. He went gate-to-wire in winning in the Grade 3 Ben Ali at Keeneland on April 21.

Other entrants, with odds: Golden Ticket, 12-1; Ron the Greek, 3-1; Take Charge Indy, 5-2; and Pool Play, 15-1.
