BALTIMORE (AP) — The Boston Red Sox have recalled right-handed reliever Rubby De La Rosa from Triple-A Pawtucket to get a fresh arm for their weary bullpen.

The Red Sox played a 13-inning game against the Orioles on Thursday, just three days after going 14 innings against Tampa Bay.

Boston used five relievers against Baltimore, including Alex Wilson, who was recalled from Pawtucket earlier in the day. Wilson, who took the loss, was optioned to Pawtucket on Friday to make room for De La Rosa.

De La Rosa was obtained from the Dodgers in October to complete the nine-player trade last August that sent Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and Nick Punto to Los Angeles. The 24-year-old has 14 games of major league experience, all of them with the Dodgers.
