Starting Wednesday, streets will be closed for the paving of a new double-lane roundabout at the intersection of Northeast 39th Street and Northeast 137th Avenue.

Traffic will be able to flow north and south on Northeast 137th Avenue, but eastbound and westbound traffic on Northeast 39th Street will need to follow detours, according to a news release from Vancouver’s public works department.

Northeast 39th Street will be closed to eastbound traffic at Northeast 137th Avenue from Wednesday through about June 30.

The street will be closed to westbound traffic at Northeast 137th Avenue from about July 1 through July 11, depending on the weather.

Detour signs and flaggers will be in place during the closures.
