Mill Creek Pub donates to Meals on Wheels People

Battle Ground — Mill Creek Pub’s owner and customers recently donated more than $2,200 to help the local Meals on Wheels People charity in its mission to deliver wholesome food to home-bound seniors. The pub participated in the regional “Dine Around Town” event in May, asking patrons to donate to the hunger-relief organization when they paid their bill. Diners gave $1,251 and pub owner Russell Brent gave $1,000. For his “consistent involvement in the community and generous offering of his restaurant for charitable events,” the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce honored Brent and his pub in February as Business Person of the Year and Business of the Year.
