Williams, UC Santa Barbara earn 66-50 victory

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Alan Williams scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds on Thursday night, leading UC Santa Barbara to a 66-50 victory over Cal State-Fullerton.

UC Santa Barbara (10-19, 6-11 Big West) controlled things under the basket with a 42-25 rebounding advantage a 40-14 scoring edge in the paint.

Michael Bryson scored 14 points for UC Santa Barbara, Taran Brown scored 11 and Kyle Boswell scored 10. Brown also had eight rebounds.

Kwame Vaughn scored 20 points to lead Cal State-Fullerton (14-16, 6-11) and Alex Harris scored 11 points and had eight rebounds.

Cal State-Fullerton shot just 35.4 percent from the floor, 20 percent from 3-point range and 59.1 percent from the free-throw line.
