LAS VEGAS (AP) — Brad Waldow had 23 points and Matthew Dellavedova shook off a shooting slump to hit a game-tying 3-pointer late in regulation as Saint Mary’s defeated San Diego 69-66 in the semifinals of the West Coast Conference tournament on Saturday night.

Beau Levesque scored 19 points and Mitchell Young 12 for the second-seeded Gaels (27-5), who face top seed and No. 1-ranked Gonzaga in the title game on Monday. It is the fifth straight year the schools have played for the WCC tournament championship.

Johnny Dee had 18 points and made five 3-pointers for the No. 6-seeded Toreros (16-18). Chris Anderson added 11 points and nine assists.

Dellavedova, the Gaels’ all-time leading scorer, was limited to seven points on 2-of-12 shooting. But he was on the spot with 10 seconds remaining in regulation, as his 3-pointer from the left corner tied the game at 62-all.

Young scored four of his points in overtime to give Saint Mary’s a 69-66 cushion. San Diego’s last gasp came when Dee missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with eight seconds remaining, and the Gaels bled the rest of the time off the clock.

Dellavedova had 12 assists. Waldow, who overcame a lot tooth suffered when he took an inadvertent elbow to the face while fighting for a rebound in the second half, had 16 rebounds.
