Annual Paddy Hough Parade set for Friday

Vancouver — The 22nd annual Paddy Hough Parade begins at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Walkers, marchers and vehicles will begin at Hough Elementary School on Daniels Street. The best viewing spot for the 45-minute parade is on Main St. in the Uptown Village area.

The community parade includes Hough Elementary students, Discovery Middle School marching band, Vancouver Fire Department Pipes and Drums, car clubs, Vancouver fire and police departments and more. Hough Principal Eva Unger is Grand Marshal.

Sponsored and organized by the Hough Foundation, the parade honors Paddy Hough, an Irish immigrant and early Vancouver educator. For information, call 360-313-2107.
