Emergency repairs on northbound I-5 tonight near Woodland
Crews will be working on North Fork Lewis River Bridge
Thursday, March 14, 2013
Northbound Interstate 5 will be down to a single lane tonight near Woodland while crews make emergency pavement repairs on the 45-year-old North Fork Lewis River Bridge. Drivers can expect delays.
Workers will close the right and center lanes on the bridge from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to patch a hole forming underneath the bridge deck, according to a news release from the Washington State Department of Transportation. WSDOT crews noticed cracks forming in the center lane during routine maintenance earlier this week and discovered the crumbling concrete.
Northbound motorists should give themselves extra travel time tonight.
