BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — A 47-year-old man has died of a heart attack after running in the Barcelona Marathon.
Barcelona’s Clinic Hospital says he had the attack during Sunday’s race and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Ethiopians Gezahgne Abrera and Lemelen Berha were the men’s and women’s winners. Abrera won in 2 hours, 10 minutes, 17 seconds. Berha finished in 2:34:39.
