KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. (AP) — CBS cut away from the dramatic conclusion of the Sony Open men’s final on Sunday, switching to the tipoff of the NCAA tournament game between Michigan and Florida.

Andy Murray rallied past David Ferrer 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (1), and the network ended its telecast when the third set went to the tiebreaker. Tennis Channel televised the end of the final, and CBS later showed a replay of match point.

The match began at 11:30 a.m. and lasted 2 hours, 45 minutes, running beyond its allotted TV time. Tournament director Adam Barrett said CBS officials had a commitment to show the basketball.
