NEW YORK (AP) — Cincinnati Reds pitcher Daniel Tuttle has been suspended for 100 games for a third violation for a drug of abuse under baseball’s minor league drug program.

The 22-year-old right-hander was 1-3 with a 5.08 ERA in eight starts last year for Dayton of the Class A Midwest League and has been on the disabled list this year since April 4. He was selected by Cincinnati in the fifth round of the 2009 amateur draft.

Tuttle had been suspended 50 games for a second violation in July 2011.

The suspension announced Thursday was the 19th this year under the minor league program.
