ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have signed top draft pick Ezekiel Ansah to a five-year contract.

Additional terms of the deal weren’t disclosed Friday by the team. The 23-year-old defensive end from BYU was the fifth overall pick of last month’s draft.

The team earlier said it signed eight drafted players to four-year deals: Cornerback Darius Slay of Mississippi State, Kentucky guard Larry Warford, South Carolina defensive end Devin Taylor, Appalachian State punter Sam Martin, Virginia Tech wide receiver Corey Fuller, Notre Dame running back Theo Riddick, Alabama tight end Michael Williams and Florida A&M linebacker Brandon Hepburn.
