Tight supplies and refinery issues on the West Coast are sending retail gas prices dramatically higher in this region, AAA reported today. Vancouver’s average price for regular unleaded leaped by 26 cents a gallon, to $3.94.
Washington’s average price is $3.93, up 23 cents for the week. That’s the sixth-highest average in the nation. Oregon’s average climbed by 25 cents to $3.93. The national average rose by just six cents, to $3.58 per gallon, still the largest weekly increase since February.
On the West Coast, recent planned and unplanned refinery maintenance have worsened an already short supply situation, AAA Oregon/Idaho said.
