Training scheduled for people who want to judge food at fair

Training will be available for people who want to judge preserved food and baked goods at the Clark County Fair and other local events.

WSU Clark County Extension and the Fern Prairie Grange will sponsor a training session from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The training will include learning how to recognize quality products. Participants will learn correct baking and preservation methods, as well as the causes of baking or preserving mistakes. They also will learn how to evaluate the products and complete score cards.
