A Vancouver man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly assaulted a police officer while under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs.

Logan G. Seay, 20, and his roommate consumed mushrooms, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Clark County Superior Court. Seay had a bad reaction to the narcotics and became upset. He allegedly punched his roommate in the face and broke a printer. When police arrived at the residence, they found Seay, and the officers told him they were with the Vancouver Police Department.

As they took Seay into custody, he allegedly kicked one of the officers in the leg and attempted to punch him, according to court documents. A Taser was used on Seay to bring him under control. He was arrested for suspicion of third-degree assault; additional charges of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence and malicious mischief were also referred.

Seay is being housed in the Clark County Jail on $10,000 bail. He’s scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22.
