STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut All-America Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis injured an elbow in the second half of the top-ranked Huskies’ game with No. 3 Stanford on Monday night.

The junior was coming down with an offensive rebound just over 2 minutes into the half when she became tangled with the Cardinal’s Chiney Ogwumike. Mosqueda-Lewis fell forward landing with her full weight on her right elbow.

The arena went silent as she began shrieking and writhing on the court. She was helped from the court area by a trainer.

UConn officials said she was being evaluated and would not return.

The Huskies were leading 41-26 at the time. Mosqueda-Lewis had nine points in 22 minutes.
