Film crews for the upcoming movie “Wild” starring Reese Witherspoon were spotted again today near East McLoughlin Boulevard and Broadway in Vancouver.

“Wild” is Portland author Cheryl Strayed’s bestselling memoir of personal crisis and growth as she travels the 1,000-mile Pacific Crest Trail in the wake of her divorce and her mother’s death.

Filming took place last week in Vancouver also, when the set transformed the bar inside Paul’s Restaurant, 1800 Broadway, into one set in Reno, Nev. In the book, Strayed bypasses a section of the trail in the High Sierra that’s packed with snow, detouring through Reno.

The director of the film version is Jean-Marc Vallee. Production began in Oregon in early October. The production company is Fox Searchlight.
