Letter: Socialized care forced upon us

The Columbian
Published: November 22, 2013, 4:00pm

Affordable Care Act is nothing but a costly approach to socialized health care. Some estimate that millions are losing their health insurance and we are losing our freedom. Our capitalist system says it is not constitutional to force anyone to buy something they do not need or want. Bottom line for this mess is to expand government power over everyone with a single-payer system. Total government monopoly, costing taxpayers more, and causing longer waits to see your doctor or surgery needs.

We cannot turn our lives over to the government to control, expand, and spend us into being a Third World nation. This is not what the home of the brave and freedom is all about.
