ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Rams have activated rookie safety T.J. McDonald from injured reserve-designated for return and placed cornerback Cortland Finnegan and quarterback Brady Quinn on IR.

The Rams also signed cornerback Quinton Pointer from the practice squad on Saturday.

McDonald, a third-round pick out of Southern California, was injured in Week 4 against the 49ers and missed six games. He started the first four games and is eligible to play Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

An eye injury ended Finnegan’s season after making five starts. Quinn was sidelined by a back injury soon after signing a free-agent deal after Sam Bradford’s season-ending knee injury at Carolina in Week 7.
