Columbia River never trailed as they opened 3A Greater St. Helens League play with a victory.

Jonathan Branson completed 12 of 16 passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns for the Chieftains (4-1 overall). Six different players found the end zone for Columbia River.

On the second half kickoff, Vincent Daniels of Columbia River returned the ball 80 yards for a Chieftains touchdown, the first of three in the quarter to build a 42-6 lead.

Fort Vancouver fell to 0-5.
