TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Terrance West rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns as Towson defeated New Hampshire 44-28 Saturday.

Towson (6-0, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) ran up a whopping 731 yards in total offense, as the Tigers came back from a 20-3 first quarter deficit to run away with the conference matchup.

New Hampshire (1-3, 0-1) put up three touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 29-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Jared Allison to Harold Spears, but the Wildcats didn’t score again until late in the fourth quarter when the outcome was no longer in doubt.

West, who eclipsed 3,000 career rushing yards, led Towson’s take over in the second quarter. His 50-yard touchdown run preceded a pair of one-yard scores. Peter Athens completed 22 or 33 passes for 343 yards and two scores to complete the offensive onslaught.
