AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings is expected to miss three weeks because of problems with one of his wisdom teeth.

The Pistons say Jennings will be re-evaluated after a three-week immobilization period. He has an impacted wisdom tooth and a hairline fracture on the mandible at the base of the tooth.

Jennings was acquired in a trade this offseason to be Detroit’s new point guard, part of an overhaul that also brought free agents Josh Smith and Chauncey Billups to the Pistons.

Jennings averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 assists last season with Milwaukee.
