GANDESA, Spain (AP) — World champion Sebastien Ogier won the Rally of Spain on Sunday after coming from behind on the third and final day.

The French driver entered the last leg — run on gravel after two days of asphalt — 46.5 seconds behind Volkswagen Polo teammate and pacesetter Jari-Matti Latvala.

But Ogier made up for the time over the final six stages to beat Latvala by 32.9 seconds.

It was Ogier’s eighth win in 12 rounds this season.

The last event of the season will be held in Wales from Nov. 13-17.
