Letter: Supply arms and let them battle

The debate over American reaction to Syrian genocide largely fueled by President Obama’s year-old “red line” comment has a simple solution — one that will please Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the president, and most of us.

Arm the vetted rebels and shut up about it. Level the playing field. Let them defend their families.
