Letter: Project can revive local economy

The Millennium Bulk Terminal project is an incredible opportunity for Cowlitz County and will return a significant amount of critically needed jobs for our community. Millennium has presented us with a chance to revive our struggling economy and it is important for the local community to seize this opportunity while it’s still available.

For those of you who remember, Reynolds Metals, formerly on the site, provided a great work atmosphere, a familylike camaraderie, and was a positive influence in Longview. I see those exact values illustrated every day while working at Millennium. I encourage members of this community to support the proposal offered by Millennium. Finding a company that cares, looks out for your best interest, and is willing to continue your education is rare. Millennium is committed to our community and our future. We need to take advantage of this opportunity before it’s too late.
