LANGLEY, British Columbia (AP) — The U.S. men’s national volleyball team defeated Canada 25-23, 25-20, 25-14 on Saturday night to claim the NORCECA continental championship for the first time since 2007.

The victory earns the men a spot in the FIVB Grand Champions Cup in Japan this November.

Matt Anderson had a match-high 17 points with 14 kills and three aces for the U.S., which was undefeated in the tournament. Reid Priddy and Max Holt each added 11 points.

Dallas Soonias had nine points to lead Canada in the match at Langley Events Center. Cuba won the bronze with a five-set victory over Puerto Rico earlier Saturday.
