HOUSTON (AP) — Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett has been taken off the field on a stretcher after being injured on a hit on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub.
There was no immediate word on the nature of his injury, but he was moving his legs and arms before he was strapped on the board and rolled off the field on a stretcher.
Bennett was injured when he hit Schaub just as he got off a pass late in the second quarter. His head bent back awkwardly and he remained face down on the grass for several minutes.
Bennett is in his second stint with the Seahawks after spending the previous four seasons with Tampa Bay.
