Our democracy has been hijacked by a handful of Supreme Court justices, all unrepentant in their pomposity. By dismantling our legal right to control our elections, they have silenced our voice in government. As affluence morphs into influence, corruption will quickly cede total control of our government to the few wealthiest among us.
We must undo the damage caused by a corrupt court system through a constitutional amendment. We have no choice. As recently proven, any other legislative efforts will be quickly dismantled.
A proposed 28th amendment specifically gives constitutional rights to human beings only, not artificial entities, and declares that money is not the same as free speech. Additionally, all contributions and expenditures shall be publicly disclosed and states have the right to legislate campaign finance.
Washington residents are working hard to make us the 17th state to call for a constitutional amendment. We only need 38 states.
