Letter: Customer service exceptional

So I’m in Clark Public Utilities paying my electric bill last week. I mention to the lady helping me that I was having a problem with a contractor who was supposed to do some repairs on my heating system ductwork. I said that it was not a big deal, I just wanted to resolve the problem.

I told her that I had been working with Bill Hibbs in the utility’s energy services department, and left it at that. The next night, a Saturday, my phone rings at 8:55 p.m. It’s Bill Hibbs, calling me from Hawaii, where he is on vacation. He had checked his email, saw I had been in, and wanted to know how he could help me. I could not believe he went that far out of his way to see that I was taken care of. Outstanding.

With so much negative talk about bureaucratic agencies, it is nice to see some positive PR. Good on Hibbs and Clark Public Utilities.
