Letter: Sanction of gambling is just wrong

The Columbian
Published: December 13, 2014, 4:00pm

I must commend The Columbian on its Dec. 12 editorial, “Where were lottery losers? Winners trotted out, but state-sanctioned gambling remains a losing proposition.” Well done. Yes, it’s all voluntary, but the state should not be encouraging its citizens to spend their money on acts that lead to their harm or to their lower appetites.

Thanks for this, editor. Keep up the good work.
