LONGVIEW — A woman says her male roommate hid his cellphone in their shower vent to get video of her in the nude, according to Longview police reports.

Tanner Jair Ulsh, 20, of Vancouver was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of voyeurism and held on $5,000 bail. He posted bail after his initial court appearance Wednesday.

The woman told police she noticed the cellphone when she took a shower Friday morning at a residence in the 5000 block of Fince Drive in Longview. She watched the video and saw it had recorded her in the shower, according to police reports. It also showed Ulsh putting the phone in place shortly before she entered the bathroom, the woman told police.

Ulsh initially told officers the video was intended as a joke on his girlfriend, according to police reports. But the roommate said she knew she was the intended victim because she, Ulsh and Ulsh’s girlfriend had just discussed who was next to use the shower. Ulsh’s girlfriend also told the woman that Ulsh admitted to targeting the roommate, according to police reports.

Ulsh later admitted placing the cellphone in the shower, saying he was motivated by “sexual curiosity,” according to court documents.
