SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) — Will Neighbour scored 20 points Thursday and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock rallied to beat Texas State 63-59 in their Sun Belt Conference opener.

Neighbour scored 16 points in the second half and UALR (6-7, 1-0) rallied from a 24-21 halftime deficit to take a 45-44 lead on a jumper by Josh Hagins. The Bobcats (4-10, 0-1) made it a one-point game at 3:30 on a trey by Phil Hawkins, but the Trojans stayed ahead down the stretch with free throws and Hagins sank two with 2 seconds to go to seal the win.

It was Neighbour’s fifth 20-point game of the season and he has reached double figures in 13-straight games.

Hagins finished with a career-high 19. The Trojans shot 41.3 percent from the field compared with 44.2 percent for the Bobcats.

Corey Stern, Emani Gant and Hawkins each scored 11 for Texas State, and Joel Wright added 10.
