Central Michigan clobbers Marygrove 127-44

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Braylon Rayson scored 27 points with four assists as Central Michigan clobbered Marygrove 127-44 on Friday night.

John Simons added 15 points for the Chippewas (7-5). Austin Stewart scored 14 points and Spencer Krannitz came off the bench to put up 13 and grab five rebounds.

Central Michigan out-rebounded Marygrove 45-29 and was responsible for 16 of the Mustang’s 23 turnovers.

The Chippewas jumped to a 16-2 run in the game’s first six minutes on their way to a 60-25 lead at the break. The team continued to dominate in the second half. A Rayson 3-pointer with 9:29 to play extended the Central Michigan lead to 51, 93-42.

The Chippewas hit 63.5 percent from the field and 81 percent from the line.

Marygrove scored only one bucket in the game’s final 10 minutes. Darryll Dixon led the Mustangs with 18 points.
