Letter: Extend appreciation when due

The Columbian
Published: January 7, 2014, 4:00pm

Having just returned from the East Coast, flying out of BWI in Maryland after a fine visit to friends and family, we’d like to express our thanks for the excellent air service in light of the horrendous weather conditions. Our flight was rerouted and changed with minimal inconvenience to us, for which we are extremely grateful to all staff concerned.

We are quick to spout off about bad service when it occurs and it’s only fair to extend our gratitude for good service at a bad time. Our thanks go to workers, from pilots to luggage handlers, for doing a good job under extremely hazardous conditions. Our thanks include the airport personnel and those who maintain the airline’s security system. At no time were we hassled or inconvenienced.
