Blue Jackets’ Blake Comeau out with sprained knee

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Blake Comeau on injured reserve with a sprained knee sustained in Thursday’s practice.

Comeau is expected to be out for four to six weeks.

The 27-year-old leads the Blue Jackets in hits with 131. He has three goals and eight assists with 21 penalty minutes in 43 games this season.

Acquired by Columbus in a trade with Calgary on April 5, 2013, he has 70 goals and 89 assists in 404 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Flames and New York Islanders.
