Girls basketball: Battle Ground 50 vs. Heritage 44

Led by 20 points by Jossilyn Blackman, Battle Ground was able to edge out Heritage for a 50-44 win in double-overtime.

Blackaman finished with a great game but the game was won at the free-throw line for Battle Ground. In the final overtime, Battle Ground made four of their nine free-throw attempts while Heritage continued their struggles at the line, going two-for-12 in the final frame.

Heritage jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first quarter but they shot more free-throws as the game progressed and struggled making them. Mesha Branch and Ashley Edwards led Heritage with 13 points apiece in the loss.
