Saddler leads Delaware past Drexel 90-77

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Devon Saddler had 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Jarvis Threatt added 18 points and nine assists to help Delaware defeat Drexel 90-77 Monday night.

The Fighting Blue Hens (12-7, 4-0 Colonial Athletic Association) shot 56.5 percent from the field and outrebounded Drexel 44-27. Marvin King-Davis scored 15 points, Davon Usher chipped in 12 and Carl Baptiste had 10.

Frantz Massenat paced Drexel (10-8, 2-3) with 20 points and 10 assists. Tavon Allen scored 19 points and Chris Fouch added 18.

Delaware jumped out to a 17-7 lead capped by a Threatt three-point play and a 3-pointer from Kyle Anderson. A quick 9-2 surge to close the first half gave Delaware a 48-32 advantage at the break.

The Dragons opened the second half on a 12-4 run to pull within eight, but a three-point play by Saddler put Delaware up by double digits for good with 11:30 remaining.
