Woodland 58, Castle Rock 56 — Jake Rosenbalm’s basket with seconds left in overtime lifted the visiting Beavers past the Rockets.

The winning basket was a layup off of a back-door cut to the basket. Troy Flanagan’s seventh assist of the game set up the basket. A steal by Anthony Dizon with about 20 seconds left in overtime gave Woodland the ball.

Both teams had possessions at the end of the fourth quarter but didn’t score.

Flanagan had 14 points and Logan Piper and Tanner Huddleston scored 12 apiece for the Beavers (13-4, 13-2), who are second in the Trico League standings. Rosenbalm grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, and Kyle Hendrix had seven rebounds.

Castle Rock sophomore Brock Johnson scored 28 points, including both baskets in overtime for the Rockets (9-10, 9-6). Johnson scored 20 of his points after halftime, and made seven 3-pointers in the game.
