Police say a man stole a woman’s wallet out of her purse Sunday afternoon while she was shopping at WinCo Foods in Brush Prairie.

The woman, described as a senior citizen, caught a man looking through her purse that had been left unattended in her shopping cart for a few minutes. The man said he had gotten confused and quickly left the store.

The woman then discovered that her wallet was missing from her purse. Later that day, her credit card was fraudulently used at Target, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Surveillance footage captured images of two suspects, a man and a woman, who allegedly made the Target purchase. Images of the suspects’ car were also captured.

Anyone who might be able to identify the suspects is asked to call sheriff’s Deputy Robin Yakhour at 360-397-6008, ext. 5451, or to email Robin.Yakhour@Clark.Wa.Gov and reference case No. S14-1057.

Police are looking for this man, who allegedly stole a woman's wallet while she was shopping at WinCo Foods in Brush Prairie and used her credit card to make fraudulent purchases.
