Crews respond to school bus driver with chest pains

Driver talking, conscious; transported to hospital

Ambulance and fire crews responded Wednesday afternoon when a bus driver experienced chest pains at Vancouver’s Jason Lee Middle School.

The incident was reported at about 3:35 p.m., as some students were on board the bus and ready to head home after school. The driver was conscious and talking when aid arrived at the school, 8500 N.W. Ninth Ave. in Hazel Dell, according to Fire District 6.

The driver was transported to a local hospital while the students boarded another bus for the ride home.
