EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — The Eugene City Council has given a month-long reprieve to the residents of an unauthorized homeless camp known as “Whoville.”
The Register-Guard reports (http://is.gd/xoX3AN ) Wednesday’s vote was 6-2 in favor of letting the 40-person camp remain until the city manager comes up with a place for the people to go.
The camp has been occupied since late last summer.
