Letter: Idea developed into growth spurt

The Columbian
Published: July 6, 2014, 12:00am

The Columbian reported in the April 22 story “Clark County’s economy grows by 4,800 jobs” that job growth in Clark County for the previous 12 months was twice the nation’s and surpassed Washington state’s employment growth rate.

Is it possible that the catalyst for this growth was the legislation promoted by Clark County Commissioner David Madore when he championed the idea that the best way to promote job growth in Clark County would be to reduce Clark County’s then existing development fees?
