Ridgefield — An anonymous donor gave $1,500 this year to boost art programs at Ridgefield schools. The money was doled out as grants by the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation to fund teacher projects at the four schools in the Ridgefield district.

The grants went to:

• Ridgefield High School: $500 to Rebecca Carlisle for new tools and materials.

• View Ridge Middle School: $500 to Michelle Kurowski for a portable clay slab roller.

• Union Ridge Elementary School: $250 to Alan Adams to buy a clay extruder.

• South Ridge Elementary School: $250 to Heather Fukuchi to purchase books and art examples.
