Northeast Hazel Dell — Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt’s “Dream Team” came from behind to win the annual Kickball Bash charity game on Saturday. It was the third year of the competition, which pits notable locals against each other to raise money for the Dream Big Community Center. The match took place at the Luke Jensen Sports Complex. Players included Clark College President Bob Knight, Ridgefield City Manager Steve Stuart, NW Personal Training President Sherri McMillian and many more. The Dream Big nonprofit aims to help middle and high school students reach their potential by providing them with inspiration and intervention. “Intervention programs are a dying breed, so it’s nice to bring back good childhood memories to remind people we had resources and outlets to help us in our ambitions,” said Nathan Webster, Dream Big founder and executive director. “We can’t forget about our youth.”
