Bingen man found dead in backyard of Portland house

Police aren't sure whether Chad Wang was a transient at the time of his death

A man found dead in the backyard of a Portland house Saturday morning last resided about 65 miles east on the Washington side of the Columbia River in Bingen, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Chag Wang, 31, was found dead at a house in the 13000 block of Southeast Lincoln Street. The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy Monday and is awaiting toxicology results to determine the cause of death. The Portland Police Bureau doesn’t consider this case a homicide and said there were no signs of violence.

Police said they aren’t sure whether Wang was a transient at the time of his death.
