The main thoroughfare through Hockinson was blocked for about three hours while detectives investigated a serious rollover crash that sent two people to the hospital this afternoon.

A northbound 1997 Jeep Wrangler rolled several times in the 10100 block of Northeast Ward Road. During the crash, reported at 1:28 p.m., the driver was thrown from the vehicle.

He was later transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with very serious injuries, said Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman. The name of the 52-year-old driver was not released and his condition was not known Friday afternoon. His passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was also sent to the hospital with lesser injuries, Neiman said.

Traffic detectives closed Ward Road in both directions between Northeast 172nd Avenue and Northeast 119th Street while they investigated the crash. The road reopened around 4:45 p.m.
